Mr. Mineau grew up in Marshfield, WI. He went on to become a Badger and a proud member the UW Marching Band. After attending UW Madison and the University of Minnesota, Mr. Mineau began teaching Social Studies in Burnsville High School in Minnesota. He went on to teach in Brookfield WI at Brookfield Central High School and in Green Bay WI at Green Bay Preble High School. In all locations he also coached Football, Basketball, and Track.
Mr. Mineau later become an Associate Principal at Green Bay East High School, and then the associate principal at Appleton East High School and principal of Tesla Engineering Charter School. Mr. Mineau has been the principal at Appleton East and Appleton eSchool since 2011.
Mr. Mineau’s family is his rock. He and his wife Leah have three children, Keaton who is eleven, Owen who is eight, and Emma who is five. Together they love to travel, attend and play at sporting events, and spend time with friends and family.
Mr. Mineau loves the East Community and is proud to be a Patriot. With the visions “Learn Today, Create Our Tomorrow” and “Every Child Every Day,” Mr. Mineau along with the rest of the East Community, continues to create a learning environment where students are excited to come to school because they are able to personalize their own learning to become kind, passionate, wise, thoughtful individuals.
Mr. Slowinski grew up in Appleton and is a proud graduate of Appleton East High School in 2002. Mr. Slowinski earned his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and taught high school English for four years at West De Pere High School. In 2011, Mr. Slowinski earned his Master’s degree and Library Media Specialist licensure from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and the UWSSLEC Consortium, respectively. He served as the Library Media and Technology Coordinator for the School District of West De Pere from 2011-2015.
In 2015, he earned his Administrative licensure from Viterbo University and returned to Appleton East as the Associate Principal in the Student Services office. Mr. Slowinski is a proud Patriot and is committed to serving the students and community of Appleton East.
2016 is Mr. Weisse's 6th year at East High School as an Associate Principal and 5th year as Principal of Tesla Engineering Charter School. He started his career teaching math at Menasha St. Mary’s High School, and through the years also taught math at Fond du Lac, Kimberly, Appleton North and Appleton East high schools for a total of 17 years teaching math.
Mr. Weisse also served as the Math Program Leader in Appleton for six years while teaching. He started his administrative career as associate principal at Wilson Middle School for three years before coming over to East. I
He is happily married for over 25 years and has four children, three of which have graduated from East, with the youngest a current sophomore at East. Mr. Weisse earned his math teaching degree from UW-Oshkosh, and earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from Marian University.
Dean of Students
Mr. Zachow received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin -Whitewater. He received his master’s degree from Winona State University. He taught special education in Park Falls, WI for five years and was the Assistant Principal at Wilmot Union High School for two years before coming to the Appleton School District.
He has been an administrator in the AASD for 18 years. Mr. Zachow was the Assistant Principal responsible for Student Services at East High School for five years and has been the Activities/Athletic Director at East for the past 13 years. He has a wonderful, supportive family made up of his wife Carrie and two children Zachary and Summer.
