Freshman SupportHello Freshmen students and families!

We are so excited to welcome you to Appleton East High School!  We know that sending a student to high school can be difficult and want you know that there are various supportive resources we will surround your young adult with to help make their transition to high school smooth and successful. Some of these include:
  • D.R.E.A.M. Team: Our mission is improving school culture: every student, every day. Our vision for freshmen is to inspire learning and school connectedness through the Patriot Playbook. This work is facilitated and led by our upperclassmen D.R.E.A.M. Team student leaders who understand the connection they have to our East community, and the value they bring in making our school community a better place.
  • Link Crew: Link Crew is made up of upperclassmen who strive to design activities and events that will engage freshmen. One of those activities is Freshman Orientation, which is designed to help make the transition from middle to high school smooth and inviting. Other large and small group activities are designed to address students’ needs and concerns in an enjoyable manner.
  • Advisory: All East students are placed in an advisory with their peers and 1-2 teachers, where they will meet 1-2 times weekly to receive academic and social emotional support.
These proactive programs are designed to help students make a positive start to their high school careers. We are excited to get to know your young adult, work with them this school year, and are committed to supporting YOU experiencing success on YOUR journey.
