AP Registration/PaymentAppleton East High School and Tesla Engineering Charter School students wishing to participate in Advanced Placement testing during May 2020 need to be aware of the following:
  • AP Test Registration and Payment will take place in the Fall this year. By October 15th all students who want to take an AP Test(s) must have submitted their signed AP Test Registration form and paid their AP Test fees. AP Test Registration forms and fees will be collected in our Main Office.
  • Students MUST have an account created with the College Board in order to have tests ordered for their AP test(s). AP classes at East have done this step. (If a student has take AP, SAT, or PSAT tests in the past, they may have an account that they need to re-activate. Do NOT make a second account.)
  • A fee of $94.00 is charged for each AP test taken. Checks should be made payable to: Appleton Area School District.
  • Fees are non-refundable.
    • The only exceptions - if students call 920-83204604 by 4:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 11th to say they will not be taking a test they registered for, a partial refund $50 will be made after the conclusion of all AP testing.
  • Students who qualify for free/reduced lunch will have their fees paid for by the Appleton Area School District. Proof of this financial need will be the signature of the high school principal on the test registration form
    • Student who have their fees waived are required to take the test(s) as the district does not receive a refund for the fees paid.
    • Students who qualify for Free or Reduced Exam fees can only receive this support for exams of AP classes they took within AASD.
  • The general testing schedule is on the back of this letter; specific times and locations will be provided to students in April. Transportation to and from the testing site is the responsibility of the parent/student. Any conflicts with a student's schedule AP Test(s) must be communicated to East personnel at the time of AP Test payment.
  • Any student who qualifies for any testing accommodations will need to submit their request for accommodations to the AP College Board before the January 15th, 2020 deadline. You will also need to notify your East case manager and/or school counselor about your submitted request.
