Senior Class Information

High School Graduation Date for the 23-24 School Year
At all three traditional high schools, and their associated charter school, will celebrate the 2024 Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, May 29th 2024 at 6:30PM.

Cap & Gown Order
Orders opened in November, and were due February 10. 
Items will be handed out in Advisory on May 20. Students who graduated early or who attend programs outside of the building can get their items after that morning.

Senior Signature Apparel Information
Orders opened in November, and were due January 5th.

Senior Slideshow Submissions Open (Mrs. Nilsson-Jarolimek)

Submissions opened March 18, and were due May 3.


April 5 (Friday) - Optional - Graduation Speaker “Draft” speech due 

5 Seniors submitted speeches. Thank you!


April 8 - 12 (M-F) - Optional - Graduation Speaker auditions

5 Seniors auditioned for the staff panel. Congrats to Susan Thao and Cross Sato, Class of '24 Speakers!   


April 13 (Saturday) AASD SENIORS and a Guest invited to the 2024 Senior Prom

7:00 PM-12:00 AM at the Hilton Appleton Paper Valley. Learn more here


May 3 (Friday) - Slideshow Photos and Scholarship Notification Due

-Submit final pictures for the Senior Slideshow - must be submitted by 11:59PM, no exceptions!


-See Mr. Hoffman or Mrs. Rebman in Guidance by this date if you are receiving a scholarship and would like to be recognized at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony (Ceremony takes place May 14). A Google Form will also be available on Canvas to submit info until May 3..

May 7 (Tuesday) - “Wear Your Future” Day

Wear shirts or apparel to represent your post-grad plans. Group photo will be taken during FLEX.


May 20 (Monday) - Cap & Gown and Ticket Distribution and (optional) Final Speeches due

-If eligible (passing grades, no fines/books due), receive cap & gown items and 4 ceremony tickets in Advisory. Be sure to check apparel pieces/fit.


-Ticket Wait-List opens 7:30am. Seniors must be logged in with their AASD account to access the online form and request additional tickets. Requests are not guaranteed.


-Graduation Speakers only - Submit final speech to Mrs. Flannery-Bosin by 3:30pm.


***Final week to clear detentions, pay fines, and turn in Library books and Chromebooks/Chargers.
 

May 21 (Tuesday)

Permission Slip and $10 due to Mrs. Flannery-Bosin. No refunds. See Mrs. Flannery-Bosin if you need financial assistance. Grad Requirements must be cleared in order to attend, including all detentions cleared.


May 28 (Tuesday) - Senior Trip & Picnic, and Senior Sunset & Slideshow

-Trip: Seniors meet at 8:30am in the Commons, buses load at 9am. Return to East around 2:30pm.


-Sunset & Slideshow - 8:00pm - Pickett Field (or Softball Field depending on playoff sports schedules). Show begins at dusk.


May 29 (Wednesday) - Graduation Day!

-9:00am - Seniors attend the Graduation Rehearsal in the Patriot Gym. 

Rehearsal will be followed by the & Senior/Staff Breakfast


-2:00pm - The "Senior Send-Off" takes place at East-cluster Elementary Schools - wear your cap/gown items!


-5:30pm - Seniors arrive and report to their Advisory group for ceremony prep. Doors open to guests.


-6:30pm - Graduation Ceremony begins



 March 18 (Monday) - Senior Slideshow Submissions Open (Mrs. Nilsson-Jarolimek)
-Submit up to 3 pictures of yourself (1 baby/toddler, 1 childhood, 1 senior), and submit additional group pictures of senior class members throughout the years. Don’t forget prom pictures after 4/13!
-Confirm photo submission completion via Canvas “Grades.” DUE May 3!

April 5 (Friday) - Optional -  Graduation Speaker “Draft” speech due 
-If interested, prepare a draft speech and submit it to Mrs. Flannery-Bosin by 3:30pm at the latest!

April 8 - 12 (M-F) - Optional -  Graduation Speaker auditions
-Present draft speech to a panel of Staff judges during the week of April 8 (schedule to be determined). 
   ***Chosen Speakers will work with Mr. Miller in April/May to finalize and practice speech.

  -Attend the Graduation Ceremony - Arrive 5:30 pm, Ceremony begins at 6:30pm

-After the ceremony and photos, Grads are welcome to attend the “Class of ‘24 Post-Grad Party” planned by the Post-Grad Party Committee. More info HERE
