ACT Practice Test Information
Posted on 11/15/2019
On March 3rd, all juniors will be taking the ACT test during the school day. This test is an important test for you for your post high school plans as well as the required state test for high school juniors. Fox Valley Technical College, as well as most two-year and four-year colleges use the ACT and your score may be the deciding factor whether or not you are accepted. You may also earn scholarship money for post high school education based on your ACT score. We will share more specific information about the March 3rd testing date as it approaches.

Because this is such an important test, we will be doing a PRACTICE TEST for all juniors on Thursday, November 21st. The practice test will run from FLEX (9:24) through the first part of 6th hour. Juniors will be required to be in school ONLY for the practice test, while all other grade levels have classes as usual all day. Because of the nature of the practice test, all students will take it in “regular” test conditions, with standard timing. No accommodations will be made for students for the practice test, although some of you will get accommodations for the actual test in February.

For juniors who are participating in the practice test there are many benefits:

1. You do not have to attend school on November 21st except for the practice test. You do not have to come to school until flex, and may leave after the practice test is over during 6th hour.

2. You will know exactly what the test is like so when you take it in March you will know what you may need to do differently to improve your score.

3. You will get a report back on your results of the practice test, including your ACT score for each area and an item analysis of each problem you got correct or incorrect.

4. The school will also get reports back to help us better prepare you for the test in March.

Mr. Weisse sent out an auto call to all parents explaining that juniors only come to school on November 21st for the practice test. He will also be sending additional testing information to the students and staff as well. Feel free to contact Mr. Weisse if you have any questions about that day’s schedule or the format for the test.
