Medical Mentoring is the opportunity of a lifetime for high school students interested in medical careers, providing invaluable firsthand experiences that help students make educated decisions about their futures. The program is designed for high school juniors who have demonstrated an interest in the medical field. The summer job shadow pairs students with providers from participating practices. Students are mentored by doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physical therapists, and surgical technologists. Students will spend a minimum of 12 hours observing mentors in their day-to-day work environments, including fast-paced clinical and surgery settings.
