Summer registration for the upcoming school year is scheduled for August. Student identification pictures will be taken, parent group registrations will be accepted, school fees paid and schedules distributed.
We do not set specific dates for specific grade levels. Everyone is welcome to come to the most convenient registration time for your family. Our busiest day tends to be the last day of registration.
Please be aware that if you do wait until the last day, the lines could be long and the process may take longer. Remember, all students must participate in registration for the upcoming school year. This is a totally different process than enrollment.

2016-2017 Online Enrollment
AASD parents/guardians have the ability to enroll their students for the 2016-17 school year. The online enrollment portal is now open, and parents/guardians are welcomed to complete the online application prior to their designated onsite building registration date.
2016-17 Information Guide to Online Enrollment for All Students
Because student photos will be taken for the yearbook and school ID, students must wear clothing that follows the school dress code. Students choosing not to wear appropriate clothing will not get their pictures taken. As has become the tradition, seniors sometimes dress up and make their ID’s look interesting.
Any props/make up/or funny faces which make identifying the student difficult will not be allowed.
Incoming freshmen and new upperclassmen will have the entire morning of the first day of school to themselves to get to know the building, teachers and courses.
Student Fee Plan Explanations
Six fee option plans are available. All checks should be made out to Appleton East High School for the exact amount. If families are enrolling more than one student, amounts can be combined into one check.
- Plan A $116.00 - Enrollment and text materials. Admission to all home school sponsored athletic events, school sponsored dramatic productions and concerts. One copy of the 2015-2016 Lantern (school yearbook).
- Plan B $69.00 - Enrollment and text materials. Admission to all home school sponsored athletic events, school sponsored dramatic productions and concerts.
- PLAN C $40.00 - Enrollment and text materials.
- PLAN D $87.00 - Enrollment, text materials and one copy of the 2015-2016 Lantern (school yearbook).
- PLAN E $47.00 - Yearbook when family is applying for fee waiver
- PLAN F $29.00 - AP Pass when family is applying for fee waiver.
Cap and Gown Fee
Senior graduation cap and gown fee is $30. Make separate check payable to Appleton East. Seniors should report to the Business Office to fill out the appropriate order form and pay fees. Seniors may use the cap and gown from an older sibling. Remember, boys wear blue gowns/red stoles, and girls wear red gowns/blue stoles.
Parents/students who are interested in a fee waiver may obtain information and an application form in the East administration office. These forms could be picked up before registration and returned at registration. Otherwise, forms will be available at registration. Parents/students who received a fee waiver for the previous school year are reminded that a new waiver must be submitted for the coming school year. Fee waivers include only matriculation, text materials, breakfast, and lunch costs. Yearbooks and admission fees are not included.
Students who choose to participate in interscholastic sports, robotics, debate, forensics, drama, cheerleading or poms/dance will be required to pay a participation fee of $50.00 for each activity. This fee will be paid directly to the administration office and should be paid prior to the activity practice sessions. There is a $150.00 student yearly cap, a $200.00 family cap, and a $250.00 joint middle/high school family cap.
Some classes require a fee to cover costs of that particular class. Those fees will be collected by the teacher at the start of the school year.
First Agency Insurance
The District will continue to work with First Agency, Inc. to provide parents/guardians with an opportunity to purchase Student Accident Insurance for the 2015-2016 school year. Beginning with last year, First Agency, Inc. decided to discontinue the practice of mailing brochures to the schools. Their brochure/enrollment form is available online at www.1stAgency.com
